HIGH VOLATILE COKING COAL

HAMPDEN - Hampden Coal Company was established in 1987 and currently produces high quality, low ash, low sulfur high volatile coking coal. All this coal is mined from underground mines in West Virginia and processed through a modern, computer-controlled preparation plant.

Most of Hampden's production ultimately is consumed by some of the world's largest steel companies. Hampden's customers include Nippon Steel and Nisshin Steel of Japan, the Brazilian steel mills, Sideco of France and CSI Planos of Spain.

Rockhouse Creek - The Rockhouse Creek property was acquired by International Industries in 1995 to compilment the Hampden mines and offer current and potential customers a higher strength lower ash high volatile coal. Formerly Powellton/M&H Coal, the reserves total nearly 30 million tons.

Presently, coal mined within the Rockhouse Creek reserve is processed at the Hampden preparation plant. The Rockhouse product is kept separate from the regular Hampden product and is loaded for specific customers. Most of our customers of Rockhouse Coal are currently in North America (ABC Coke, Erie Coke, Citizen's Gas and Coke). However, we are now focusing our effort on marketing this premium high volatile coal to consumers in Europe.
